I ran the marathon with it and made it worse, went on my first run on Sunday and its still slightly tender, it's a ****er of a thing
Had this in spades 18 months ago and stopped my running in its tracks - it was hard enough getting out of bed in the morning. Cheapo orthotic inserts into shoes have done the trick along with a great stretch recommended by a physio. Stand facing up stairs (or similar) on balls of your feet and then slowly lower your heel beneath the level of the stair you're on. Feels a bit like a standard calf stretch but really gets to the long tendon under your foot as well. All now fixed and back in full working order ready for the next idiotic injury. Good luck.
