Personally i think it's better than chilli pickle,surroundings are not so plush but for a real taste of india you can't beat it.

I reckon it is probably the most authentic Indian in Brighton.

first thing you need to get "authentic" curry is to dispense with the fancy resturanty looks. anyone will tell you in london the best curry is either Tayyabs or Lahore Kebab house, both simply tables and service. theres also a chain, Mirch Masala, which will do a better curry than most provisional towns and they have a cafe/wimpies like decor going on.

I went there once and the salad starter was excellent.

Then felt the main courses were a bit of a let down. Authentic cuisine but I think it is prepared earlier and microwaved.
