"On its approach it took the runway too low, just missing the roof of my cab.

He's now busy washing the tyre marks off the roof of his cab and wishing he'd taken some clean underpants to work with him.

Brilliant, no need to hold an inquiry then, as Mr Rowland, cab driver and renowned expert on flying and landing commercial aircraft, has already got to the root of the problem.

Is there nothing cabbies can't do?

Spot on. The 'eyewitness' reports on the telly and radio have been embarrassing. 'That Pilot deserves a medal, a medal the size of a frying pan'.

How the f*** does that bloke know? For all he knows it might be entirely the pilots fault it got into trouble in the first place!

And then there was another fuckwit on earlier who says he'd just spoken to the pilot and that he'd lost all power as he came into land.

Now I'm no expert on plane crashes but I'd imagine in cases like this, BA, The Air Accident Investigators, Police, etc would probably be talking to this pilot. I somehow can't imagine he's wandering round the Duty Free telling random idiots whats just happened

Every news report quickly descends into speculation. On Sky TV, it was something like:
"What's the latest theory?"
"Well, on the chat room..."
I switched off at that point.
