Being reported but not confirmed,just watched the flight tracking and it wasn't in the air very long before it made a rapid decent

Early indications it was a technical problem the crew couldn't resolve and it just flew into the ground - very sad but at least they should be able to find out what happened relatively easily

Yep, if you watch the 'replay', it starts losing height over the med and then heads in a stright line toward the alps, rapidly descending - Like they had lost control.

It's sad, and not a little emotive as many of us will have travelled on an A320 relatively recently - Yesterday for me, which makes one realise how much we're in the laps of the pilots and engineers.

Absolutely terrible news. Was only reading an article from German news on Sunday regarding Airbus 320 Ice sensors and faults with them. Wonder if it is related?
 


























Has the last 12 months been awful or are things just being reported more now?
