Plane Crash - Where will you be sitting?

I remember hearing on the radio once that the crash position is because they know the chances of survival are slim and it looks the neck in place making it easier to take peoples dental records to identify the dead :eek:

I do a lot of work for a large aviation parts and spares company and that is a myth - albeit a good one.

I picked first class - there HAS to be a reason why first class is situated where it is. Otherwise, what point is there in upgrading from Cattle class? Safety first :)

I really want to watch this on Thursday, it looks like a very interesting documentary .... but I'm flying to Croatia the following day, and I'm not the most confident air traveller as it is!

This is the most unrealistic plane crash possible. It was driven head-first in to a desert.

I sit nearest to the correct door to get the feck out of the plane quickly on landing (a normal one), so 18C on an ATR72 or 2C on an A320...

Sorry to disappoint you, the only reason first class is at the front of an aircraft is there is less noise due to being in front of the engines.
Very few people survive air crashes sitting forwards of the wings.
