Stoke for tewh same reason everyone else gives.

Also, for me Sheff Wed. Been twice. Both times we let in a last minute goal. So the next time we play there I don't go on principle and we SCORE a last minute goal!

Ibiza.. went on an 18-30 there to the party side of the island in '98. Utter gash...

Ibiza.. went on hols with the family to the other side of the island in '07, in a hope the above was a one-off. Utter gash... Anti-English remarks and behaviourisms from the majority of locals and staff at the resort.

Got a £100 gift voucher from the holiday company though by way of an apology...

to be fair the Spanish are the rudest nation I've ever come across and for that I'm willing them to fail in the football.
As for the thread, has to be Stoke as well, hole of a place and always lose and play crap

Ooh good call, on second thoughts I'm changing my vote to Yeovil (my brain must have suppressed the memory due to the trauma).

For all the reasons Easy states, plus it's a crappy drive down there. At least with Brentford we found some very nice pubs en route (vaguely), it's an easy trip home after you've lost, and you can always go into London afterwards.

Yeovil is just a horror experience from start to finish.

Agreed - drove once, train once, absolutely dreadful both times. I vowed never to ever go there again.

And then this year - I happen to be in Bristol for the half-marathon that weekend - now how is my resolve?

Oh, and it's my birthday!

I'm happy to go anywhere if the Albion are playing there, however, would not be too gutted to never go back to:

Tranmere & Yeovil

Oldham
Luton
Brentford

Millenium stadium (Well we're hardly likely to go back there are we) :jester:

I agree with Luton, but like the other two. Brentford because it's dead easy for me, but the pubs on the corner of the ground are inspired.

Always enjoyed Oldham when I've been there, probably because I make a weekend of it and stay in Manchester.

Depends where you go I guess and whether they've had awful German and English tourists nearby.

I've been to many cities in Spain (Madrid, Cadiz, Barcelona, Jerez, Seville etc..) and "resorts" where the English don't tend to go. Always found them to be excellent and helpful, especially as my Spanish goes as far as ordering a couple of beers and asking for the bill.

The only place I've found the opposite is where I found myself for a couple of days in the real tourist areas.

Turkey is indeed a shithole.

Poland is a shocker as well. Been there three times with England now. Everytime I say it is my last but I keep going back.

Zagreb for the second time this year should be fun too. Almost got killed on the tram in 2006!

Disagree about Turkey, spent a couple of weeks back-packing around the South East of the country in the late 80's, admittedly it was well before it became a popular package tour destination but I loved it out there. The view of the beach at Olu Deniz when you come down from the hills is one that I will never forget...a white crescent with crystal blue waters glistening in the sunlight...quite simply stunning.

Football wise I would say Blackpool. It's a crappy temporary open stand that reminds me of ... being at Withdean. Gillingham must be a shocker too but I haven't been since we stopped playing there.

The most overrated places I've been to in general are Dublin and Budapest. Both one dimensional shitholes. Dublin is a properly ugly dump. But then no city in Europe comes close to London for me.

...what, for being an over-rated shithole?

Been to Krakow twice and each time was superb. I guess if your travelling with football fans then I guess you have a bigger chance of attracting the wrong sort of attention but I really enjoyed it out there.
