I don’t know if anyone’s quantified league positions if VAR hadn’t had this effect, but I wonder if we’d be sitting with Norwich at the bottom?

Off top of head one was v spurs and 2 sheff utd which made no difference as we lost. Can’t remember others.

No, that was a good result. Newcastle are dreadful and in serious danger of going down.

Are they? I thought they'd turned it around recently. They were above Palace, and it was Palace who were on the poor run, which I'd have liked them to have continued going into our game.

They've been steadily picking up points but they've been awful all year.

The stats are telling. They're bottom for goals scored, bottom for shots, bottom for touches, bottom for pass completion, bottom for xg, and bottom for xpts. Top for clearances and saves.

Can't be much fun watching them.
