Somebody in Singapore. Confirmed.

So how does a PL investigation into online abuse that has originated in Singapore work?

1/ The PL report it to UK Police
2/ UK Police do something.
3/?
4/?

Results
1/ PL immediately show they have taken online abuse seriously in this instance.
2/?
3/?

Obviously some nerdy geek type, spaffing off over his already crusty keyboard, never seen the light of day and is probably a gooner or manure fan :tosser:

Good - the most clueless fans when it comes to football rules out there as a whole. Loads of moany keyboard warriors - and turns out (as expected) their team were the biggest bunch of moany twats that game too (Ady on Roar)

I echo the sentiments of Algernon #21 above.

Yes, the PL are being seen to do "something" but in practice the UK police have no jurisdiction if the perpetrator is outside of the UK. Not sure "being very nasty on Twitter" is an extradition offence.

Whilst the abuse of Maupay is disturbing, he does seem to be the sort of character that would just laugh at the perpetrator (just like he laughed in Gwen Dozy's face. Wonder whatever happend to him eh? :D )

We’re doing rather well then aren’t we? The Albion as a club, our players, us fans, the city of Brighton and Hove, all being pilloried by Arsenal and Leeds fans for whatever misguided, deluded reason.

Roll up! Roll up! Who’s next in the ‘having a dig’ stakes? Cue Palace, maybe?

It’s lovely being in the limelight. :drink:

We must remember, however, to deal with such recidivism with charm, dignity and wit.

None of that 'kiss my ringpiece, you cockwombling thundercaant' malarkey. No, sir.

Bound to be a supporter of one of the big clubs - the Argus reporting that the perpetrator lives in Singapore.

Got to be an Arsenal plastic. A snivelling little coward hiding behind keyboard anonymity. Talksport covered this well earlier, the PL plan to get legal proceedings going against the coward, if Maupay wants it. I hope he does.

Maupay hasn’t p*ssed off the other larger clubs.

To deter any further abuse from Singapore, the PL only allow wall to wall screening of the two Brighton Newcastle games from last season, with no one allowed to turn off or leave the room until 600 successive hours of screening has concluded.
