I've got us to finish 7th (on GD)

That's where my predictions take us
Yep, those two 2 goal leads blown prevent usTo miss out on GD would be heartbreaking
7th. place? Conference League? Fine by me!
Do you remember December?6 of our last 9 games of the season are against teams in the bottom half. Massive chance for a top 5 finish
I do. And it's a fair comment. I just feel the team have moved passed that well. I also feel the bottom of the league is pretty much settled now so a lot of the teams we are due to play won't come and sit in a low block as they had been doing. I expect those games to be more expensive which suits us. A lot of confirmation bias in that assessment I accept.Do you remember December?![]()
I hope you're right. However, I don't see teams that got something from us by playing one way changing their approach. The hope is that the motivation to give everything needed for the low block to be effective may have waned. The last seven results in all competitions have been great, but all bar the dreadful Southampton have been against sides currently in the top ten.I do. And it's a fair comment. In theory I agree. Spurs, Wolves, Brentford, West Ham and Liverpool could all be on the beach with nothing to play for by the time we meet although that sometimes frees them up to play with abandon. Leicester if they lose today are almost done. Palace is very tough and expecting nothing. The Villa and Newcastle games are the massive ones for me. Win or don't lose those two and take say 10 points from the others and we should be just about ok. But loads of twists and turns to come - very exciting times and no result at this stage in any game would surprise me.I do. And it's a fair comment. I just feel the team have moved passed that well. This.Way too unpredictable for me to be arsed doing it.
7th sounds good though.
7th with Newcastle taking 6th would be a Europa League qualification, regardless of who wins the League Cup final later today.7th. place? Conference League? Fine by me!
I understand that for financial reasons the club would like the CL, but for me the Conference would be a great (potentially winnable) adventure - and a good platform to build on for yet higher European adventures in the future. And those hardy and highly commendable souls who follow the Albion wherever would still have a few exciting trips to new and exciting places!
