Test cricketer but he didn't umpire in a test match.

Sadly died quite young.

Thanks for that. I've done my homework now and he did umpire in one day internationals and play in tests. I'm 66yo and I wish my memory was better.

I like the fact that all the First Division teams pose in their stadiums, while Liverpool's photo looks like it was shot round the back of the local working mens' club.

First class cricketer and test umpire too ????

He was but didnt umpire a TEST MATCH

My late father and him were best mates and both played cricket and football for Huddersfield Town Boys in teh early 60's
