Up your alley
Came across this site which has all the Daily Mirror 'My Club' photo cards from 71-72, brought back some memories:
http://cards.littleoak.com.au/197172_daily_mirror_my_club/my_club_division1.htm

Spotted these guys who went on to join (or had left) BHA as players or managers.

I've left out their club names to make it more fun(?), but working from top:

Div 1:
Chris Cattlin
Brian Clough
Peter Taylor
Frank Worthington
Alan Mullery
Joe Kinnear
Phil Beal
Mike Bailey

Div 2:
Peter Grummitt
Barry Bridges
Peter Suddaby
Barry Lloyd
Eric Potts

Div 3:
(Brighton squad)

Div 4:
Jimmy Melia
Paul Bence
Fred Binney
Peter Taylor (Southend - no names!)

Have I missed any?

That's a great find!

At the moment, I am trying to locate colour team photos of the Albion from late 1960s to mid-1990s. Think I might right-click and save that Albion photo.

Did we have a player called Tambling...maybe Bobby...there is someone with that surname with Palace? Just checked, there was one but he didn't play for the Albion...but he was born in Storrington!

Joe Corrigan - Man City
Ian "Spider" Mellor - Man City
Martin Chivers - Spurs

Bobby Tambling was a Chelsea legend who ended his career with palace.

Looking through div 2 there's FREDDIE GOODWIN as manager of Brum,

Millwall have barry bridges (Albion flop), pompey have Bromley & Ley, Norwich have Alan Govier, who made little impression.

You are right, I must have been thinking of Tamplins...wasn't that a Brighton brewery?

Nice to know that a footballing legend came from the place I grew up...pity the Albion couldn't have discovered him before Chelsea did!

In div 4 there's Fred Binney.

Not Albion but a couple who were to make a big impact, Terry Mcdermott at Bury, Graham Taylor at Lincoln & Neil Warnock at Hartlepool.

I like the way the managers and trainers are often prefixed as Mr.

Not a Brighton connection, but if i remember rightly that would have been the season after my hero Jimmy Greaves retired. He left West Ham. Three or four years later he started playing non league, Barnet was one side and i think Brentwood. Great days
