The FA do not like pitch invasions and can take action against offenders.
DO NOT give them the opportunity to deduct points from us after we have technically been promoted. Stay in your seats and show your support.

Pitch invasions are for spontaneous moments of joy. If we win tonight it will be awesome, but its not really the same as staying up on the last day of the season or knocking out a top level team in the cup or something.

Words fail me Springal - you would much rather we risked the posiibility of ;
1. Points deduction
2. Ground closure (probably the AMEX next season)
3. Playing behind closed doors (again probably the AMEX)
Call yourself a supporter !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Who was the last club that this happened to and when?

Small clubs with small minded supporters pitch invade, hopefully we won't be bought down to that level.

What will people do, invade for promotion, then 2 weeks later invade for the title, then invade just to mark the last game. Friggin sad cases.

Doesn't happen ... maybe if it were 2 minutes from the end and losing but if it's at the end of the game in celebration of promotion no way they'll dish that sort of punishment out. Personally I wouldn't go on but some will and given all we've been through I wouldn't be critical. That said club have asked not to so players can come out and say thanks ... ggod luck to em ... there'll be '000's on the pitch for sure

Excellent news! If we get a ten point deduction it'll mean that we'll have something to play for in the last few matches! They won't be just virtual friendlies!

One word of caution though, who were the last club to lose points simply for a pitch invasion? We didn't lose that many when we smashed the ground up and got a match abandoned.

Seriously though - don't lecture us. Thank you.

I don't mind a good old fashioned pitch invasion, and I'm not in the least bit concerned about possible sanctions from the FA, that just AIN'T gonna happen.

But I seriously hope we're not about to do 3 in a row.

no club has ever had a points deduction for celebrating a promotion.

Three pitch invasions would be ridiculous, they lose their spontaneity and meaning if you do them all the time.

I can quite understand why people want to get on the pitch tonight, but for me the job will not be done until we have won the title. Invading the pitch tonight would seem to be a tad premature in my view. We haven't spent 200 days at the top of the league just to settle for a measly promotion which has been in the bag for weeks, I want the title, I want 100+ points and I want to say goodbye to Withdean, that's why I think everyone should be on the pitch after the Huddersfield game, when everything has been achieved and our job is complete.

I assume you will be on the hallowed turf, should we win tonight Brovion?
