Pitch Invasion: HYPOTHETICAL Question

NO DO NOT GO ON THE PITCH AGAINST SOUTHAMPTON!

yesterday yes, we got promotion nothing was lifted so go share it with the players who all had smiles on there faces, but not when we lift it...

It all fits rather nicely. We lift the trophy at the saint game everyone stays off the pitch so the players can do their bit on the pitch and then come the huddersfield game no lap of honour required so we can all pile on the pitch as it is the last game at the Withdean.

How about because there are a load of people on the pitch so the payers wont come out. I was well pissed off last night that despite being REPEATEDLY asked not to invade the pitch, people still went ahead and did so anyway. As a result, when they announced the players weren't going to come out I left, then missing the celebrations when they did eventually come out.

So to all of you that ran on the pitch, thanks for that.

If you looked at the emotions of the players when we came on last night they were loving it. The only people to blame are those on the PA system.

Celebratory pitch invasions have always been part and parcel of football. Shouldn't be a problem.

The same thing happened a few seasons ago on the last game of the season. And they DIDN'T come back out. The minority ruined it for everyone that day and almost did it again last night.

Pitch invasions used to be/seem spontaneous; an out pouring of emotion & celebration. Nothing wrong with that.

Seeing all the 'on the pitch' stuff on here prior to the game clearly removes the 'it just happens and is natural' argument. People planned to invade the pitch in advance, thus potentailly denying the less socially inadequate the chance to salute the players.

The club was right to say the players wouldn't come out for that reason. Where they were wrong was by then allowing them to come out anyway.

Anyway, roll on Saturday and we can all celebrate on the terraces at Walsall; as surely a pitch invasion at an away ground would be a little out of line; and perhaps viewed very poorly by the FA etc?
