Some of you would have read about my wife's pony & horses being attacked in our field last week by three huskies allowed to roam free by their owner.

This has caused a lot of injuries and suffering to the animals and a large amount of stress and upset to us particluarly to my wife. She has suffered a number of asthma attacks since witnessing the attack, resulting in an emergency yesterday where she was rushed into hospital with a collasped lung. She is in a stable condition now, thank God.

The police have been completely inept in the meantime in the investigation, much to the infury of the RSPCA inspector.

We've had to close our businesses as we do not employ anyone else. I've been left looking after 5 kids, 5 horses(2 of which need a lot of care and attention due to injuries), 3 dogs, two cats & a guinea pig! I have to travel 1/2 hour to see the wife.

We moved to outside Wisbech only 4 months ago, so do not really know anyone yet and my wife's parents have both passed away and mine live in Sussex. We are really on our own

All of this due to some f***ing idiot dog owners, who can't or wont control their dogs.

With all due respect, why are you posting this on here?

Because if anyone on here thinks its good to walk their dogs off the lead in the countryside just to remember the damage they can cause. That is all.

Thanks for the support. I think an early nights in order. Good night:wave:

This does seem to be getting a bit ott though, or at least I'm worried about the perspective on an animal malfunction.
Have you ever had anything happen to you before? Sorry if I seem unsympathetic, because I do agre you were wronged - but you don't seem to be very good at coping with a disruption to everyday order.

Hope your wife recovers fully, I had a collapsed lung myself last year, so I'm fully aware of how nasty they can be.

Do you actually come from Piltdown area? I grew up not far from there myself.

Maybe time to invest in a shotgun. Farmers are allowed to shoot dogs that worry their sheep. Or maybe they're not. But they do it anyway.

Whats OTT when all I'm trying to do is remind owners of dogs to remember their responsiblity and to what harm their animals can do!

And as far as coping, I'm doing very well, I do not believe in my post I've stated any different, other than mention my mum, which is tongue in cheek. However it does highlight that when events like this happen how important and perhaps necessary to have friends or close family nearby, having just moved to the area we have neither.

I lived in Down St Piltdown for 3 years until June this year. Visited The Peacock on a number of occasions

Okay, well you certainly have my sympathy for the way things went - I was only worried about the way things seem to be falling further, as crap does happen, even though it seems incredibly crappy at the time.
I hope things turn around for you (and that the idiot dog-owner who is irresponsible is brought to face some kind of justice)
