I've happily given them the benefit of doubt for the first few games while it all settles but today seemed far more disorganised than any of the other home games so far.

What is the collective noun for wind-up merchants?

Or do we really a bunch of screaming, whining, fundamentally-unhappy-with-their-lives miseries attending home matches?

To be fair, though, if Dick's Bar kept running out of real ale and food at 2pm, I imagine you too would become justifiably frustrated with the situation.

It's not as if this is being done on the hoof, is it? The Club have contracted out the catering to a company who specialise in stadium catering, so it's not unreasonable for people to have realistic expectations of being able to buy the most basic of refreshments before kick-off.

I think it's a bit unfair to call people "a bunch of screaming, whining, fundamentally-unhappy-with-their-lives miseries"if they complain about food and drink selling out early, week after week after week.

No problems in the North Stand getting pies at half time.

The only catering issue I came across was that the Harvey's ran out in the WSL concourse by 5.45pm. The young Miss Bracknell had to buy me a pint of Fosters. It was disgusting.

But that's the point - it doesn't 'sell out week after week'; not before kick-off anyway.

It's like any pub or bar anywhere in the country - there will be times when a certain beer's barrel needs changing, or the demand on pies is higher than anyone could actually cope with. At that point, people can have either something else or wait until it is back on (usually no more than five minutes). Maddening, I appreciate, but not uncommon.

Myself, I tend to wait until it's back on, and in the WSU, that's rarely very long. Alternatively, there's thankfully other bars to choose from - and that's what happened yesterday; one bar ran out of Harvey's, so I went to the next bar and got one. By the time I was back standing near the original bar, the Harvey's was back on.

I wonder if people accuse the landlord of their local of such 'shambolic, disorganised' practices when a barrel runs out...?

The pubs to worry about are the ones where the barrels never seem to run out. A barrel of "guest ale" that has been available for a whole week will always disappoint.

On the subject of AMEX drink, I ordered a Harvey's yesterday and the bar staff appeared to have put lime cordial in it. No harm done as I was quickly given a replacement but it was puzzling as to why the bar staff did this.

That's nothing.

I heard of one incident where a request for a pint of shandy resulted in a pint of Chardonnay being delivered.

no pies in north stand between 2:05 - 2:45, I don't want to moan as generally everything at the Amex superb but the lack of pies is something that is getting really annoying.

Got my Balti pie in N stand at 2.30 , very over rated not a balti in my opinion just spicy chicken

In a pub yes but I have tried to get a Harveys in the North stand a few games ago and told "sorry none left we will have some in 25 minutes"

Well West Stand Lower update, we arrived at 2.45 no pies only hotdogs in the first kiosk, only 3 or 4 chicken and ham pies in the second and only a couple of boltey pies in the last, as a veggie had to have the burger from the last kiosk, we need veggie pies. Come on Amex and Piglets why the lack of pies now when it has been fine before.

If these pies do not win awards their is no justice in the world of pies...

For the 2nd time in 3 games, I asked for a Balti pie in WSU at around 45 minutes before kick off and was disappointed. How early do we need to arrive to get one?!?
