A debate occured on NSC chat last night about pies, which seemed to coincide with Albions late resurgence, as I understand it our very own Bozza is making a Shepherds Pie tonight to encourage us on to better things.

So it got me thinking, what is your favourite pie??

Fish pie, which by the way is missing from your poll.

I'll be eating humble pie if Barwick ever does something right.

Think I'm quite safe though.

What about the multi-millions he has bought to the F.A through shrewd business accumen in sponsorship??

Or the winner with a Capital W we now have as England manager for starters??

Come off it. My mum could sell sponsorship for the England team, being as Sky and the BBC are falling over themselves to show every fixture.

And we may have a "WINNER with a Capital W" in charge of England now, but sadly, your top boy decided to appoint a MONG with a Capital M two years ago, which is why we'll all be watching England play the might of Trinidad & Tobago this summer. Mmm, nice one BRIAN.

McLaren was not Barwicks man, he was the commitee's. Barwicks first choice was Big Phil Scolari but the majority of the public wanted an Englishman after the lack of appreciation of Sven and McLaren was the best Englishman out there with the added bonus of experience in the international game having coached under Sven.

We've been here before.

"Steve did two fantastic interviews. He was my first choice, the FA board's unanimous choice. My first choice was always Steve. That might be difficult for people to get their heads across."

Didn't Scolari turn the job down anyway?

DIid you really expect him to come out and say Steve was our 2nd choice, we wanted someone else instead?? That would have undermined his position straight away, ok he lied but for the good of McLaren and the England job. All football clubs, managers and chief executives do it.

This is my last word on the matter, we will agree to disagree, I think Barwick is doing a teriffic job and McLaren is a decent manager, you don't but please don't hijack every thread I start because you have a difference of opinion.

I didn't hijack it at all. I merely put a pie-based pun into the mix.
It was you who then started banging on about how amazing Barwick is again.
