I have to get away from the ground very quick after the Birmingham game.

3 possible ways<

1. P & R to Mill Rd what time does anybody or rather most people get there if leaving at the end of the game.
2. Pick up by wife near The Swan how long does it take to walk there and can she stop and wait near there for me.
3. Pick Up in Village Way South up near the Uni/ Racquets Club Can she stop there after the game for a few minutes.

Had to get away to get grandson home to Guildford after Derby game and she was moved on by police and not allowed to stop near the station on A27 apparently it is a clearway.

If none of these are possible any other suggestions of a possible pick up point or quickest way to Brighton to meet a bus connection.

There are always cars lined up along Village Way South, all doing u turns normally without indicating. Being a motorcyclist I have nearly been taken out several times by this.
Police don't stop them so she can stop along there from the lights onwards.

Many thanks for that. I thought that it may be ok but wasn't sure what the police/stewards activity was there. Falmer station is definitely a no go for stopping and picking up.

We have to get to Heathrow for a flight as we are going to Cyprus on holiday straight after that game.

End of school road.
Head past Falmer station on new path towards Brighton. At end of path go under bridge towards Lewes Road and pick up from there. If Mrs coming from Brighton, Lewes Road (or Coldean Lane heading towards Amex then 1st lights take a right under road. Should be able to wait short time safely, will then be heading back down south towards Brighton & Coldean Lane.

Only 10 mins walk for you and she should avoid getting stuck in traffic.

My way is about 1/3rd of way to Hikers.
Getting picked up at ground could take an hour or so.

I have walked to the Hikers and passed the lights under the bridge but wasn't sure how to explain to wife how to get there but with your directions we will give it a try one day before then so that she is aware of how to get there and as you say I can walk there in no time at all as it is all down hill.
