'Bob's your uncle'..... a wholly redundant and silly phrase...
My son in law always says that " Bob's not my uncle but, he is my Grandad "

Not sure if I have put this up on the thread already but.... I hate the expression " doubling down " ...you are not " Doubling Down " you are merely reiterating a statement or position..if only people could spell reiterating there would be no doubling down.

Many a championship fan/pundit:-

'we see ourselves as a Brighton/Brentford Club'.

No f**knut or lazy arsed Journo, there's Brighton, then there is the first copy club - Brentford.

Person on The Chase keeps repeating this insane comment.

He/they/them don't/doesn't/hasn't think this comment is insane

Not so much a phrase but a question that always infuriates me .. makes me unreasonably angry, is “Are you sure?”

Would you like a cup of tea?

No thank you

Are you sure?

'I can't wait!'..... maybe I have just become a grumpy old'un but this phrase always makes me feel a bit suspicious of the speaker's honesty.....

Keep going, I am enjoying this thread!
