spot on.

the club will have to reduce prices toget more bums on seats IMO

they cant afford to...we have got to pay for the losses at withdean and start to look towards money for bricks and cement for falmer...I can see us spending anything on players for the forseeable future ( or dropping prices )

That would only get more bums on seats and cost more in stewarding etc a better solution is to invest in the team and make it attractive to watch a winning team.

If in November we are top of the league Withdean will be full and the club will be earning money. If we are nearly bottom Withdean will be slightly more full but the club will be losing money.

Sort of obvious, but that IS how it works. Play sparkling winning football, fill stadium.
It's a no-brainer.

I understand that but some people on here believe that if we give the seats away more people will come sod the cost and loss of money, of which we dont have much now.

that does not always work though......last year we played Notts Forest off the park and there was 9000 in the ground...then next home game there was 6500.

I think it is a factor, but I just think that people realise we are in the third division, lost two on the bounce coming after a very poor last couple of seasons, no significant additions to the squad and even if we were at Falmer, he gates will reflect that fact.

Having said all that, we have won 2-1 and with a result at Tranmere ( or certainly not a loss), then the crowd will filter back

What's more important though? Sparkling footballor winning football? If we ground out every game 1-0 would be we fill the ground? Or if we lost every game 4-5 would we fill it?

I

Which would suggest that the attraction was Nottingham, not Notts they get offended by that, Forest and that our ever reliable hardcore of 6,000 turned up, which they didnt today.

Surely they can't afford NOT to?

I paid £25 yesterday knowing it'd be the only match I'd see until Christmas, but there's no way I'd pay that week in and out. I doubt they'd lose anything by dropping the price by a fiver or so.

Yes they would, 5000 fivers or £25,000.

You can only afford what you can afford. If we were top of the league and thrashing teams every week that wouldn't mean I could magic the disposable income to watch every match.

I think they should make the East Stand at £15.00 a go. this would mean more would be able to go and besides, the view is not the greatest.

That is the solution... invest in the team to improve results is the ONLY way to increase attendances...
