Wasps for me too. Picnics in late summer are a total hoot for all those around me as my plate goes flying through the air as a wasp enters the park, providing , of course, none of my food actually lands on anyone, which it regrettably does from time to time.

I knew of someone once who was afraid of raw meat, even just the sight of it.

Even stranger was a girl I knew who was afraid of knots. Really terrified of them.

I get so nervous when I see them I almost freeze. I saw a whole coach load get off and play pitch & putt once and I felt trapped as if they were going to turn on me at any point.

That's not a phobia though. A phobia is an irrational dislike, I'd say a dislike of flying is perfectly rational.

I use to do a lot of flying, but now hate it, don't do it. Don't think I've flown for 18 years.
