Without knowing what was said to her before she pushed him, I can't give a reaction to that.

Natural instinct for a mum to be protective but that bloke should not have punched her, As for the bloke with the fire extinguisher up.

Is it?! Mine and my friends parents always believed the teacher, policeman, neighbour or complete and utter stranger first before ourselves!! We could only do wrong and got undeserved smacks, clip round ears, detentions etc. “You probably deserved it anyway” was my generations childhood, think it’s only Millennials who believe their kids can do no wrong and constantly leap to their defence. Maybe if Fodens mum wasn’t such a gob on a stick, with this mentality, then nothing would happened?

Problem is that his mum made matters worse by shoving the bloke to the ground. Foden was already in the side room so she should have stayed there. So what if some drunken gobshite is giving him some abuse, he gets that every time he steps on a pitch, not nice or acceptable but he's used to it.

That said, hopefully the gobshite that threw the punch will get identified and prosecuted along with the trainee firefighter. He gets a shove and cowardly responds to a woman with an attempted haymaker. Utter scum.

I see things very differently now a days. So many women and girls are violent, attacking men under some dated chivalry code, kicking biting and punching like old nags, that I don’t blame blokes smacking them back. She who throws the first…and all that. What if that bloke had broken his arm during that fall? Is he just expected to “take that”? Fodens mum doesn’t even learn her lesson but is back for more. Besides, I think we can all confidently say this isn’t her first fight is it? All extremely embarrassing for everyone, and who starts attacking someone’s head with a fire extinguisher? Shows the level of scum and their non existing filters out there. Someone laughs at someone and it’s an instant fight to the death. What on earth makes you see such red immediately that you’re prepared to kill another human being for that? Sake, they all need locking up.

Again, I don't disagree. The bloke is scum however, Foden's mum should have shown more restraint. Without knowing what went on before, it seems what was verbal handbags turned to physical when she pushed him first.

You’ve watered it down already. She didn’t just push him. She pushed him OVER ie violently enough for the guy to fall down off the wall and onto the floor. Enough people have died that way from head injuries, so it’s not insignificant. Therefore can understand why he got up and probably instinctively (and in self defence) punched her. She’s hardly some 8 stone waif like figure either. Just one of her tits looks like it weighs that alone.

Yes, she pushed him hard and he fell over, possibly even because he might have had a few. He didn't fall flat, it was almost like the way Paul Alcock fell over when pushed by Di Canio. However, are you really claiming that punch was in self defence? That's poor. My guess is that he did what he did because he felt humiliated by being pushed over by a woman. It certainly wasn't proportionate self defence.

She certainly shouldn't have pushed him over, but you can't seriously think that he picked himself from the floor, then 'instinctively' threw a punch.....and in 'self defence'?
No, he could (and should) have walked away, rather than punch a woman in the face. Classless and brutal.
