The corner quietly rusting
Apparently petrol prices do sneak up just before major holidays like Cristmas and Easter because people are often off work for long periods and want to travel visit people etc. Easer is only 3 weeks away.

What? You clearly dont know nothing then. even I know you can claim vat if its used for agriculture

Your primary post indicated that you used and abused the system, by using your vehicle for purposes other than agriculture.

Why would anyone be a loser, if they are having to use their vehicle to get around and for getting to work?

Happens on a weekly basis in Oz, more evident before a public holiday.

On Tuesday petrol was $1.19 (71p), Friday $1.34 (80p)!

The petrol companies here tell us we like the price cycle cos it helps us plan for when to buy petrol.

Your personal use is NOT agriculture. Hence you are breaking the law.

You never bend the rules yourself then like MP's?

Anyway off topic but does your car radio have bluetooth and if so what is the point in that if you have a usb port?

I've only had JVC or Sony units but i'm currently in the market for an Alphine. Are they as good as there repuataion or are you paying for the name?

I've a company car so most of the time fuel prices don't matter to me  The 1.229 shocker was in my personal "toy" car, thats why it was Super Unleaded also.

It doesn't, but the reason for it you can stream music using bluetooth from a mobile that hasn't got USB mass storage support. Admittedly a lot of the phones that don't have that don't have bluetooth audio either, but thats what the idea is for. Having both is still useful.

I've added more info to the post above.

I really can't be arsed with subs, amps etc

Can you get decent door speakers (13cm Fiesta) that can handle bass or is that asking to much? I'm going to take the door panels off when i've done my homework on units and speakers. The factory speakers really are naff in my car.

Oh front speakers only as i don't have rear.

Its been a LONG time since I did serious car audio stuff, so I can't really help with the speakers. I'm guessing you already have a non-factory head unit? A lot of cars have far better speakers than you'd expect with the terrible head units they ship.

Alpine are good, but unless you're on a mega budget you're not going to get the rest of the kit up to the level the make the price difference noticable. JVC have always been my HU brand of choice.

The car i brought came with a cheap Goodmans cd unit which is 4x45 watts which is pretty decent actually but have decided to give that unit to my old man.My old Citreon factory speakers were far better then whats in my Fiesta.Maybe because they were 17cm?

Anyway i'm not going to spend anymore then around £180. £130 for unit and £50 max on speakers.
I will probably end up with a sony unit as i've been happy with them in the past.

Cheers anyway.
