I really despair of the stewarding at Withdean. We have little enough atmosphere already, and it appears now you aren't even allowed to shout. It seems that some people's idea of football is that we all sit quietly and clap every now and again. If I want that sort of environment, I'll go to the cricket (or even rugby). But football for me is about showing passion....some stewards get that (eg: Swindon, and even Leeds last year), but apparently at Withdean they don't. Hopefully the club can sort it out before we get to Falmer.

Dave Baker is manager of DC lesuire that run the stadium on non match days as long as he gets his free burger from the vans hes not bothered as he has no control on match days PC Beard on the other hand has control of the cctv and sits in the box ! could it be Beardy having the last laugh?
some odd comments on here mainly from people who, i assume, have no knowledge of mouth. don't judge if you don't know. he's not a friend of mine by the way, i just happen to sit within earshot.
perhaps the debate should be amongst us E-blockers only who actually see and hear him regularly.
i have NEVER heard him shout anything offensive. If saying f*** or f***ing or fucker out loud is now punishable with a 2 match ban then my days of attending matches are over. NOTHING of incident ever happens at withdean - the stewards seem to have driven away anybody who dares display a bit of fire. It seems they're now working they're way through fans who sometimes shout a bit. pathetic.
i think we should start making complaints against the stewards for not stewarding in exactly the style and manner that we'd like. for example stewards who haven't zipped up their jackets, any steward who glances round to match a bit of the game, stewards not correctly displaying their identity badge, stewards sipping a drink on the job. that is their approach and attitude to us.

From reading everything and the little I saw, this sounds about right. I only know Mouth by sight, yes he can be loud, but I have never seen him be offensive.
One of the stewards posted on here 'he was not inoccent' but no one has been able to quote what he was doing or sayng to get a two match ban. All I saw was him being jostled and filmed and pleading he had done nothing wrong.
I know the club rules are no swearing but where I sit you hear the players and staff swear all match long.

Forgive me is this is obvious, but how would you 'ban' someone from coming to football matches? Your face isn't checked against a database of banned persons everytime you enter a ground so how would it work.
Surely he could just get a ticket in another stand. Hell, he could get a family member or friend to buy a season ticket under their name if he wanted.

Dave Baker is the Stadium Manager for the private company that runs the stadium ( although in reality it's the council )
Richard Hebbard is the BHA Operations Manager
Dave Ashley is the Safety Officer
Dave ( and I can't remember his surname ) ex-fireman was the Chief Steward but I don't know if he still is.
If there is a complaint about the stewarding the three Daves can do little or nothing about it. Richard Hebbard is your man.

Some stewards get that! Like \leeds? Are you mad. They virtually threw one of ours down a flight of stairs during an ejection for chucking a screwed up piece of paper at a steward. Now THAT'S sh*t stewards. Then there's Oldham stewards who wanted to fight Kuipers, Millwall who dragged some poor sod of ours down those steep steps at the New Den................shall I go on?
When was the last time someone got dragged out at Withdean by knuckle dragging yobs in uniform!!

To be honest, I wouldn't be in the best of moods if someone threw something at me either. I'd go as far as to say he deserved to get dragged out of the ground.
