:smokin: Isn't exactly in a confined space is it? If people want to smoke then fair enough, I took my six year old girl to the game yesterday who was subjected to swearing etc. If you go to a footy match there are certain things you have to put up with.

But as seating is set, what are you supposed to do when it's drifting into your face all match?

Football is tense, espeically watching the Albion.

If your a smoker, you become more stressed if you cannot have a smoke. We will than have a pile of looneys in the dugout, and in future games will be put off.

......it is becoming very unhealthy and dangerous what with leaves and litter building up I will write to MP tomorrow.

you could always try to become part of the litter patrol and do something about the leaves and litter rather than picking on endangered species.

It is hard to believe that in this day and age anyone is stupid enough to smoke.

It is about time someone sued a smoker for assault because that is exactly what it is.

No doubt the Labour party and it's politically correct brigade will bring hundreds more new politically correct ideas out in the coming months, we'll not able to have a shit without asking their permission just in case it's to black and it'll offend blacks.

Was there not a questionnaire in a recent programme (Palace i think) arguing this very issue?

Easy - no smoking in the seats, you are free to smoke anywhere else.

Doesn't make the slightest bit of difference, when someone is selfish enough to like up right next to you. Of course all the smoke just rises up doesn't it ?

I laugh at this "no roof - so you can smoke" rubbish.

St Marys doesn't allow smoking in the seats, it isn't "enclosed" - there is a roof that protects you from the rain, but it stops as soon as it reaches the pitch.

...you're hardly "inside" are you ?

What happened to questionnaire that the club were supposed to have circulated ? .. and Kinky is right.

The risk increase associated with passive smoking is 2 parts in 500,000. Its purely health facism. Your at greater risk from drunks at a game.

Why shold you have to put up with it?

i accept it anywhere except the family stand, i wish more were done to control it when we play away.

the odd expletive slipping out is one thing, the 'vocal supporters' i can move away from. i have an issue with people sitting close to kids who make no effort to limit what they say.

Smoking WILL be banned at Falmer

I'm not anti-smoking myself. I think a smoking section would be a good (if unfeasible?) idea. I just don't like having to sit actually BEHIND someone having a fag, just blows into my face and makes my clothes smell. Its the anti-social element rather than the health risk

The smoking carriages on trains used to make me laugh, I used to smoke but like everyone else couldn't bear to be in there for long just went in there for a cigarette and came back out - they stank.

Well smokers, that's what its like for non smokers next to you. Its just that your resistance to the stench is higher because your smell and taste is f*cked.
