Peterborough student ticket question...

I'm going to the Peterboro' away game with a few friends and have noticed the 'student' tickets are £13 but it requires a valid NUS card. Now, I have a card with NUS written on it and my picture, but there is a chance that it might not be what they mean (I know what I mean and that bit doesn't really matter; long story).

My question is, what do you think the chances of the people at the gate at Peterborough asking for this NUS card? If they say that it isn't the right card I can probably dispute and say it proves I'm a student, but I don't really want the hassle.

Yeh, I know I sort of did but it says on the card says 'this is not a discount card'. It was supplied by my college and doesn't look the most.... proffesional of cards. Just wondering the chances of the gate at Peterborough asking for the card, so I can save some hassle.

It isn't a valid NUS card, They mean the NUS card you pay £20 for I'd imagine. That said I was on a Peterborough student ticket last year and didn't get asked, If I had all I'd have had was my Brighton Uni library card. Worst comes to worst they'd make you upgrade it.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. Can't imagine them checking every single students ticket. And if so, the Brighton ticket website says Student NUS (which is 'technically' what it is). So i'll just say that I was under that impression. Best case: they'll let me through. Worst Case: as you mentioned.

I've not got an NUS one, I've got my Uni student card, which is basically the same, they never say anything at any away ground I've been to.

Actually, that's a good shout. Do you reckon my College ID card would be good. I know people have said they don't check but you never know. Better safe that sorry.

Every game i've paid on the gate i've got in as an U18, even an U16 at Bristol City and wasn't even questioned. Have a shave and don't speak, and im nearing 19 now. I've been asked for a student card in many places before, don't have an NUS card as its a complete waste of money, but my Uni Id card is always sufficient.
Hope that helps.

Had an NUS card for 3 years, each time I've taken it to games when I've got a student ticket and it's never been checked unless paying on the gate.
