Director of football Barry Fry has revealed that Peterborough recently had a £1m bid for Milton Keynes Dons striker Izale McLeod turned down.
"The club made an offer of £1m, but Milton Keynes chairman Pete Winkelman turned it down" said Fry.
"The money would have been spread over three years."
Former Derby man McLeod, 22, is one of League Two's top goalscorers this season and scored for the Dons in their recent 2-1 win against Wrexham.
