10 minute interview on the Player on Posh site.

Nutshell:

QPR wanted him but Warnock couldn't get the money from his board (best offer for player + Peterboro)

Brighton made very poor offer - rejected

Leicester made good offer (accepted)
West Ham made good offer (accepted)

Birmingham said they wanted him but would have to sell players first
Wolves showed an interest but made no offer

West Ham when pushed pulled out..not enough money up front

Convinced the player was going to Leicester

Brighton came back with offer to match Leicester (accepted)

Leicester wanted him, but Brighton edged the deal on a financial basis.

:)

So West Ham made an offer...and then realised they couldn't afford what they had offered?

That club really is becoming a laughing stock.

I have a lot of time for the Peterboro chairman having followed him on Twitter, said great things about our club and took the time to reply to a tweet when we were first linked to CMS. Straight forward, honest and obviously like Bloom - a genuine fan

this is what he tweeted

Morning,Yep your owners doing their best and good football people.Enjoy the season and good luck in fantastic Stad

In TB's language that would be :

Brighton - Bet (limp)

Leicester - Raise

West Ham - Call

Birmingham - Fold

Wolves - Fold

Brighton - Raise

West Ham - Fold

Leicester - Call

Brighton's full house beats Leicesters three of a kind :)

I don't understand this, not being a poker player, but I'm assuming that this is a VERY clever analogy, and am suitably impressed.

That's very good. I think all transfer dealings should be explained like that. You could also have added that Palace never made the final table.

I think there is more to come, I reckon this is just the start of a great 2 weeks, Gus wanted 6-7, he has 3 first teamers signed and 3 squad players signed, I reckon we are still going to get another 3 first teamers before the club fly to Portugal, a winger, a midfielder and defender!!
