Popped in for a drink last night, and there was the legend judging a 'Movember' competition. Well done the men from Albion Roar (names slip my mind, sorry) and Barry at the Ranelagh, for putting the event on.
Peter was on form, he went to the Derby game and is guest of honour at the Amex on Saturday !!:clap2:

Indeed he was there and it was really nice to meet the guy, a real gent.

Well done to Ady for putting the night on and raising some last minute MO-ney for the Movember cause.

My mother is a regular there, as she lives at the old dears place behind the Ranelagh......and shes fond of Peter.
When I was in the navy, I came home on leave just a few weeks after he broke into 1st team. He must have been living in Mile Oak, as I
went into my families local at the time (The George) in the old village and he was sitting between my mother and father playing cards, was a
nice bloke then as well.

Of all the legends we have as Albion fans, he is the biggest and the best. My all-time hero.

And I reckon he gave all the Movember guys a run for their money with his 'tache.

last line of my original post?
My mistake , sorry , I honestly missed out the last line when reading your post , the sort of thing that regularly happens when you read a HB&B post.

He was on form that night, I took him to my Sunday league team's training session last night. He was on fire, he's still got tekkers for an old git, running the show against my mates who are at least 20 years younger than him

Was brilliant to watch

The seaside.
As mentioned on another thread, Mr Ward was on the shots of Jagermeister (which he'd not had before) by the end of the night, and knocking it back, regaling me with the tale of a Charlton v Brighton game where some of the Brighton players got delayed in traffic and they had to kick off with only eight players, wtf?
