I will confirm with Wardy but I am sure a few pints after the bike ride would be right up his alley. Brett your 30 mate, not 80. Whats the alternative go home and watch Corrie with a cup of Cocoa ?. Man up mate !.

I will see if they can do Sunday 7/8 or try for somewhere else on Friday 29/7 although options are limited.

At the moment I think Friday 5/8 is ideal even if Wardy comes along later after refreshing himself for a few pints. I can't imagine Wardy wanting to slope back to the Hotel early evening for a early night.

6.30 pm eta. Wardy would be insulted to think he has to go and lie down in his Hotel room I am sure. I would lay odds on he will be champing at the bit to nail a few pints down. Seems the perfect end to the day to me.

Wardy isnt riding, he is watching, so no doubt he can do the darts

All Im saying is that we MIGHT not be finishing until around that time, it all depends on the fitness of the 15 and traffic.

i was planning on arranging a little something to celebrate our achievement with the riders, but I can cancel that if the darts is going ahead.

There is also the small matter of Saturday and what festivities that brings

Can you not celebrate with the cyclists at the Railway Club ?. It took some doing to get the venue and it is a perfect venue where the public riff raff and chavs will not be allowed in so we can throw arrows, drink Beer, play pool and have a laugh and Saturday is another day so I dare say people will be able to shake off any hangovers for the day. I will see what Wardy prefers but am loath to let the venue go.

Agree.

Surely the cyclists can just sup a few beers anywhere? The Railway Club is as good a place as any I would have thought.

As a sweetener I will buy the first person to make it back a beer!

Of course go ahead with the event. I think Brett was meaning that a few people who had originally put themselves down to compete now may not be able to because of the ride, meaning that you may just have to recruit a few others.

As long as we get 16 everything will be fine and dandy.

Why not tweet out using the REMF account I setup (and handed over to Richie to publicise the football match)?

I'm sure a couple of tweets using the #bhafc hashtag will have a lot of people eager to throw some 'arrows with the legend.

Presumably the charity has a Facebook page that could be used to do similar.

I'd be surprised if, with just a little effort, you couldn't get the 32 you wanted to help boost the coffers.
