Well he should be having almost singlehandledly screwed up Spurs Champions League campaign this year and ended it for next!!!!!

ps. No I don't think we should sign him even if he was on a free and happy to play for peanuts.

He's too good for us I'm afraid. A quality Premier League striker.

I'm just trying to, respectfully, figure out the point of the thread.

Crouch isn't going to sign for a Championship team and yet he is also the most consistent goal scorer for England over the past 5 years.

Of course if a player of that calibre became available we should sign him. He'd be quality at this level and we'd be stupid to say no. However it'll never happen in a million years as he'll go to a top 10 Premier League team.

Crouch would destroy the Championship. How you can say you wouldnt accept him on a free is beyond me.

Assuming he wants his usual wages, estimated to be £70,000 per week, then no chance and rightly so.

If, for some biazarre reason, he fancies taking a massive cut then why not? Hardly likely though, is it?

He's a thicko, we don't want him. We only want intelligent, intellectual players in the mould of Graham LeSaux

This would be the same Peter Crouch who scored four goals in the Champions League this year? How far would they have got without those?

Just to clarify then. The point of the thread was just to point out how one player seems to have destroyed Tottenhams season and their prospects for next. He isn't available on a free but if I were the Spurs supremo I would consider off loading the jinx as soon as poss. Judging by some of the posts, some people seem to think he actually might be available!!!!!!!

very underrated player and if we could get him on a free and he was will to come to us it would really be a great signing.

Not for one moment did I believe it was a logical suggestion of a signing. That would just be SILLY

My point is that it was HIM who scored the goal to get them in the champs league in the first place and it is HIM who Van der Vaart has stated is the best player for him to play alongside.

Excellent player IMO. Very unlucky that people assume because he is tall that he can ONLY head it.

ps - to anyone who actually thought Drew was suggesting we sign him

The club can't even agree a deal with Murray so we have more chance of pissing in the queens handbag than we have of signing a quality Premiership striker.
