Peter Capaldi's Doctor Who Debut

I stopped watching when Worzel Gummidge became the Doctor. Have I missed anything?

Just watched on iplayer, pretty poor episode. I nearly gave up by about 25 minutes in Capaldi's accent comes and goes and veers off all over the place plus he mumbles too much. He has the magnetism of Sylvester McCoy so I'm not too optimistic about this latest tenure.

I thought he was good - better than the bland predecessor.

I don't understand how a grown adult with anything more than ordinary intelligence can stomach watching a programme so miserably watered down since the departure of Christopher Ecclestone, it's now purely a children's programme.

It must be so tough up there, so alone on your pedestal.
