I would like to add Henry Blofeld too if I may?

You'll note I said TV Commentators - Cricket on the Radio has SO many great voices, John Arlott, Johnners, Blowers, CMJ, even that old curmudgeon Fred Truman. At present my favourite is Jim Maxwell, obviously only get him vs. the Aussies.

As an aside I couldn't bear Michael Vaughan when he started - trying to be Mr Personality but he has settled down and is now one of the best on TMS. Enjoy Tuffers as well while the Headmaster from the Vale of Belvoir tries to keep control... :lolol:

Oh, I missed that distinction. Yes, TMS is a great listen. I love listening to Isa Guha too.

Bill Mclaren - Rugby Union
Eddie Waring - Rugby League
Peter O'Sullevan - Horse Racing
Murray Walker - Motor Racing
Dan Maskell - Tennis
Richie Benaud - Cricket

RIP Peter, better commentator than golfer imo, he drove a Rolls around with Putt 3 on it for a reason!
Condolences to his Mrs, Jackie who is a lovely lady.

I remember when he owned the winner in a fairly big race and he had to announce the winning jockey, trainer and owner. He didnt deviate one bit in the announcement or commentary.
