Basically the gist of Baker's argument seems to be that if you take selected sentences, it proves that Prescott doesn't think there should be a stadium at Falmer.
This seems to ignore the rather more important and obvious fact that Prescott DOES want a stadium there. Otherwise he'd have said no.
Accused the club of libelling him in the match programme too. An easy accusation to make - if he really believes that, then why not go to a court to decide. Of course he won't - because more than likely there's no substance to the claim.
That seems to sum up all the opposition argument. Make accusations (pardon the pun) about the way the permission's come about, smear Prescott's name, rubbish the decision. There's no comeback on them so why not? But if they truly believe they're right, they will have to prove it in court... and that's a lot harder.
It's a shame they can't accept that years of work, costing several million pounds and calling on experts rather than NIMBY pond-dwellers has proven Falmer is the only viable (not perfect, but better than the rest) site.

Baker got very uptight last year when the Eastbourne MP started interfering in the Newhaven plans saying that MPs shouldn't interfere in other's constituency matters.

Even to just read the gist one should get the idea!
I spent 3 hours reading the full document, I can't see how any judicial appeal can take place. Prescott has given a full and frank view of everything put before him.. he has agreed and disagreed with several items covered by the first inspector and agreed AND disagreed with everything covered by the latter inspector.
It's interesting reading, and it's clear that in the interests of fairness and rightfulness, Prescott has covered EVERY blade of grass...
