So if Bloom hadn't have stumped up the cash Falmer would have been dead and buried , some f***ing saviour Dick Tight was
Why don't you go and boil your head you tedious twat.

Perhap's Bloom coming in with his millions was always a plan B incase the bank's wouldn't lend. Therefore, funding WAS always in place.
I remember a time when ANYONE who claimed the funding might be an issue was shot down in flames by people apparantly 'in the know'.
Looks like people were right to be sceptical.
Thank goodness for Tony Bloom.

.
Now all the lickers are claiming this was the plan for funding all the time
Had Bloom not come in with the dollar. Perry would need alot of egg scraping off his face.
There was always the notion that once Falmer was under way bigger players would be interested.
Now all the lickers are claiming this was the plan for funding all the time
What?
The funding was NOT sorted.
Even Martin Perry has admitted that.
Now all the lickers are claiming this was the plan for funding all the time
A notion does not pay for a new stadium.
If that was 'the funding being in place' then God help us.
That all seems very harsh, the banks imploding was unforeseen and obviously scuppered a lot of plans
I think this is pretty much Knight's JOHN LENNON moment.
Had he not stepped down now and let Bloom SALVAGE the Falmer project he would have 'done a Frog song' and been left with huge egg on his face.
The club would have headed toward administration and Falmer would have not been built.

Hooray, someone with a brain. Makes a lot of sense. I'd use stronger words than a "tad harsh" at the end, but that's just me.It's pretty obvious that any agreements with the banks would have been rendered competely useless by the current crisis which has f**ked so many people over. However back in the day many years ago when permission for Falmer was first granted this may well not have been the case. It does seem to me that Bloom was Plan B.
The end result is that the current administration have delivered the funding, just not in the anticipated way. To suggest incompetence given the blatant obstruction of the LDC and the unforeseen global financial meltdown seems a tad harsh to me.
