Seems to a be a bit of a food theme on here tonight and in the lead up to Xmas thought I'd tell you about a cheap gadget I "invested in" for all of a tenner.

It's a food thermometer which stays in the oven. A thin wire connects the skewer to an electronic unit which obviously stays outside. Your oven door just closes over the wire.

Brilliant. Perfectly cooked meat, just google the optimum internal temp.

I have this extraordinary oven that lets you set whatever temperature you want. I have anothjer amazing gadget that tells me the time so, if I make a note of when I start the cooking, I can look up a recipe and then determine when to stop the cooking using the second machine, called a clock.

Roast Lamb, slow cooked on gas mark 2 for about 4 hours is usually the most delectable soft enjoyable roast of all.

I have a sharp knife which works well in determining the readiness of meat and other products.

Meant are you going to share?.

Share, share, when one reaches the very pinnacle of their specialist subject, one doesn't share.
One basks in ones own reflective glory.

Oh and this weekend I schooled Lil Miss Stat in a dishwasher loading competition and took 10p off her through weather predictions.

BOW BEFORE ME.

The Anova Precision Cooker is the world’s top-selling sous vide machine. It’s amazingly easy to set up with outstanding results. If you have a pot, a ziplock bag, and a pan, you’ll cook the best food of your life.

It's quite easy to do excellent roast meat, just give it 40 years experience. As all else is failing, you'll find your roasts get really good

All well and good but different shaped joints need different cooking times - long and thin cooks more quickly than short and fat even if the weight is the same; if you are cooking meat on the bone it cooks differently to meat off the bone, and the size and shape of any bones will also affect cooking times...and are you sure your oven temperature is correct?
