Yes, fair enough. Just an opinion of an ex-footballer as you say. Personally I don’t know whether Percy would cut it or not. You just seem a bit too certain he won’t.

And that's fine. It's his opinion, presented as an opinion (along with his reasons for it as part of the discussion), so I see nothing wrong with it. On the assumption that he'll be happy to correct his opinion if Percy does play in the Prem and turns out to be a talent.

percy seems to be doing well for Anderlect-scored on his debut and now 4 goals and several assists. Ironically his one "fault" according to fans is his is not selfish enough and passes to colleagues when he should have confidence to play with the ball more. great video here:

Looks like I might have to eat my words on Percy.

Based on my interpretation of the post Brexit visa ruling https://twitter.com/barhamstash/status/1336730669968404480?s=21

I think he qualifies on 16 points - 2 for South Africa, 9 - for Belgian First division and 5 - Champions League.

Would be a 12 month visa from January with an option to apply for an extension but he’d have to leave the UK then reapply.

We need this to happen, and I think it was the plan all along, to somehow muddle through until Percy and Andone are back.

5 first choice strikers seems a bit much!

That said:-
.....................Ryan
Veltman Dunk Bernardo Burn
....................White
Tau Maupay Connolly Andone
.................Welbeck

Is the team of my dreams.

I think the team is weakened with Bernardo because he is predominantly a full back. I’d swap for Webster and play a front 5, let’s not muck about.

Hoof and run, I like it, but if you really want attacking you need Lamptey in that back four.

We had five forwards when I first started watching the Albion in 1964;......

Wally Gould ( right winger) Jimmy Collins (inside forward ) Bobby Smith ( Centre forward) Jack Smith ( inside forward ) and Johnny Goodchild ( left winger )

Worked just fine....scored over a hundred goals that season and finished up as champions.

Got to be worth a go again....

Hmmmm. I'm not leaving Bissouma out of any dream starting line-up...........in that formation would have him instead of White :)

I remember 1964, what a great season! From memory of the old 235 formation, the inside forwards had to drop into midfield - Collins certainly had the ability and energy for this.

He doesn't fit the ethos of the team.

Eh ? A defensive midfielder that shoots from ANYWHERE ? Get him IN

He's neither a centre back or a centre forward.
While the shortest player on the pitch is the keeper!!

Really think Tau is a massive upgrade on Connolly tbh. Really hope January leads to Tau being a Brighton player at last and Championship loans for Connolly and Zeqiri to give them regular games.

Is there any reason to think he’ll qualify for a work permit in January?

Edit; yes from reading some of the previous posts.

Bobby Smith would be picked at wing back now

Zeqiri could be absolutely anything. How would any of us know, not having seen anything beyond his lovingly curated Youtube Greatest Hits?

I think zequiry has had a rough trot since signing should have been given some game time even if only with the youngsters. But why not try him in the prem with Maupay and connolly out of form what the **** have we got to lose

Tau would be better up on his own, so I would swap positions with Welbeck
