Probably been done to death, but we are (just) in the EU, a player from South Africa can't get a work permit/visa to 'work' in the Uk but can in Belgium (EU).
He can sign for an English club (us) , but can't play.
Does this apply to all South African workers who want to come to the UK ?

Going to be a bit of a come down for him if he plays for us.

No, no - I don't think we could risk playing him in case he might get injured.

And we have all these 16 year olds who need experience in the first team.

Sorry Percy - could you hang around playing Champions League football for a bit, while we test our youth team and plan for the future.

Much to many people's surprise, we are not governed by the EU.
The UK has its own immigration laws which differ from those across the channel.

I hope that Bruges striker has bought a lottery ticket.

Thank God The Greyhound is on his way back, I think we might have a job for him:-

Kick Maupay's feet out from under him as he's just about to shoot.

You arent suggesting that a club who have scouted a player multiple times and invested in him know less about his quality than some official at the Home Office?

var favours real madrid. Unbelievable. An absolute joke. All the refs working on var should never work in football again. It is totally corrupt.

All I've ever suggested re Tau (& Jocko McArgie for that matter) is that they spied a bargain, swooped, thinking we'll sort out the permits/profits later.

Proving the stopped clock theory correct, once again.
