Has his 4-year deal been extended? Or do we finally get him in the final year when we have to sell him if he doesn’t sign a new one

This could be big news for Percy and us.

Naylor article in the Athlete suggests we have inserted an early release clause in his contract with Anderlecht for January.

Quote,

The clause reflects growing optimism at the Amex Stadium that amendments to work permit regulations after Brexit could enable them to finally unleash their South African star in the Premier League. It was deliberately inserted to give Brighton the flexibility to bring Tau to England in the new year if circumstances change.

So, is this finally an upside to Brexit?

We’ve learnt after Alexis that it might be useful to recall players quickly if the chance presents itself.

Hope we get him. Looks a serious prospect.

does he ? age 26 so at peak and 6/23 in Belgian 2nd division and 5/24 in Belgian first division.

Now if he had those stats as a 17/18 year old fair enough but he's 26 !!

Would be nice to see him this season as next season will be the last of his 4 year contract. and at 26 surely he's at his peak?

Not even if he scored 30 goals a season, sorry.

He’s looked a bit average for Anderlecht so far - but then if what I’ve read is accurate he’s being played in midfield.

So far Kompany doesn’t seem to have got them firing particularly well.

I’m not sure, even if Brexit happens, he’s the answer.

But he's VERY SHORT.

It's a quality we're clearly looking for in our players, and it's a natural skill that you just can't teach people. Look at Muzza, he's been playing for literal DECADES and STILL has not learnt.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh
Posh spice is a slapper,
She must be wondering how,
She ended up up with Beckham,
Instead of Percy Tau.
