Apparently he is only a few games off of qualifying so would assume if he wasnt injured he would have made that with Afcon. Ian Wright raves about him and says he will be a sensation for us.

OK, so do we have any unmarried people on NSC that would be willing to make the ultimate sacrifice?

I think you'll find the ultimate sacrifice would be marrying this recently elected member of the European Project.

South Africa are not ranked in the top 50. If they do break into the top 50, he’d then have to play 75% of their games for the next 2 years (and they’d have to remain a top 50 nation).

These aren't the players you're looking for.

Not quite.

The player must have participated in at least 75% of his home country’s senior competitive international matches where he was available for selection during the two years preceding the date of the application; and
The player’s National Association must be at or above 70th place in the official FIFA World Rankings when averaged over the two years preceding the date of the application.

However, If the player does not automatically meet these criteria, the club can request an FA Exceptions Panel consider the player’s experience and value in order to determine whether a Governing Body Endorsement should nevertheless be granted.

So, if SA take part and although he is injured, if they won it and moved up the rankings he could still qualify, provided he has played in 75% of their games in the last 2 years

Potentially, and even if they don't break into the top 50, Provided the club can convince the panel of his ability. Although this is unlikely to succeed.

Ian Wright's enthusiasm can't hurt, maybe we could get him to testify on Percys behalf?

M'ALINEO TAU IS leaving Washington this week.

There have been no elaborate farewell parties, no dinners or dances. Mrs. Tau will simply pack her bags, go out to the airport and get on a plane. I myself only learned of her plans the other day, when I ran into her in the produce department of the grocery store. "This is the first time they've had nice tomatoes here in weeks," she said earnestly. "By the way, I'm leaving. I've been reassigned to London."

And she is bringing her son, Percy, with her...
