“They want to sack me. I wish they were more kind.

“Why didn’t they do it at 0-1? Why didn’t they do it last season when we won the Premier League? Why do they want to sack me now?

“I didn’t expect that from Anfield, for other clubs like Brighton, I can understand it.

“But for Anfield, I didn’t expect this, maybe it is the respect we have. They know we have won six Premier Leagues.”

That interview was hard to make sense of, does he normally waffle as much as that?

He’s under pressure with a struggling team, probably for the first time in his managerial career. This is where we see how good he really is as a manager
Oh, I hope they draw Stoke in the FA cup . . . . on a Tuesday night . . . . raining!!!

Then we'll find out.

Better if they get Arsenal, Liverpool or Chelsea, then he'll either have to risk injury to more top players or risk going out to a rival, incurring more fans' ire.

Except unlike most managers with a struggling team, he has a wealth of talent to choose from in spite of injuries. I am not buying the burnout, injured players nonsense. There was a man city fan on the five live phone in immediately after the match yesterday who was fully delusional and claiming amongst other things that they were forced to 'throw the youngsters' in each match. 😂🤦🏻‍♂️

He is like a toddler that has just started to be told he can't do things. Makes sense really as he hasn't lost a lot in his managerial career. It is going to take a while to get used to.
That's not remotely true. A quick reminder - they've won 6 titles in 7 seasons, the UCL, the FAC (2), & the League cup (4). The only season they've won nothing was his first. And now he's not allowed to say that people are being unkind because they lost at Liverpool without being accused of acting like a toddler?

I don't mind Pep. Until now he's been a serial winner and I don't think he particularly lacks good grace despite people trying ever so hard to find evidence of it. He's not won in 6 and yet his mantra is that they're in a tough place - not that the refs or other players and managers are all shit. Even 12 points behind I wouldn't bet against them finishing within 3 points of Liverpool (assuming no points deductions).

I posted my take on this yesterday and was told (by a moderator colleague I think it may have been) that he made no such comment.

I heard it on the BBC. Your colleague sited an interview on Sky.. OK. So I was right after all. Makes a welcome change

Well I will say here what I said yesterday.

We are living rent free in Peps shiny self-abused head.
