Potter has previously lost every league match to City and a heartbreaker FA Cup tie against them when managing Swansea, so they should cut him a bit of slack.

Personally, I can't blame Citeh for feeling cheesed off. We got the rub of the green tonight.

Not entirely sure what that means, but we were listening to the radio on the drive home (from the game).

Wasn’t meaning you.

A lot seem to have fallen for his tv interview without witnessing his antics all match and at full time. Spoilt brat.

Patronising little prick. Praise us when he rocks up and turns us over for the customary 3 points, but when little old Brighton does a number on him, he gets aggy.

What do you mean by rub of the green?

Brighton factually.....
So, Potter on the Match of day said he over rejoiced when we scored, and should have been more constrained.

The man is nothing but class, however why not celebrate with passion.

Has anyone seen what actually happened? Potter apparently over-celebrated the 3rd? Was he celebrating in the direction of the City bench? If so what prompted him to?

Need answers still.

Take a look at his interview on the club website, he explains how he likes to keep a calm demeanour. Having a masters in emotional intelligence probably tells him that showing emotion is a sign of weakness.

Fans are there to do the celebrating, not the Manager. Once they lose control of their emotions, they’re only a cup final goal away from a dancing Pardew; I’m still disgusted by that mess of a man getting his groove on like he was in a Newcastle club trying it on with his players’ WAGs.

Saw this on Reddit, explains the reaction from Pep's cone guy and chief water bottle filler. Right in front of the City bench as well.

From where we were in the SW, I couldn't see the squabbling on the benches at FT, but I could see that, shortly afterwards, Guardiola made his way onto the pitch and made a point of going to each one of our players to shake their hand. I wouldn't judge anyone solely by how they react in the middle of a disappointment, without considering how they hold themselves when everything is over. Yes he can be niggly and obviously hates losing, but I'd have no illusion that this part of his make up is probably shared by all who succeed consistently in top level sport. Fantastic to put both him and Klopp this season into the position where the pat on the head for trying has to be replaced with grudging congratulations for the win.

It's fair to say that there would have been a referee thread appearing very quickly had we been in City's position.... :lolol:

AJ, non awarded penalty etc. It balances out. We certainly deserved a win tonight, if only for all the unfortunate times we've played well this year and got nowt. City were hardly robbed. Albion earned the points for that comeback.

Same here, too busy celebrating the win at the final whistle to notice anything going on between the benches, but as you say Pep did congratulate our players.

Apparently, it was the lowest possession % Pep has ever had in his managerial career (37%) Pretty good, even if you consider the man advantage. I'm sure he must have had players sent off before.

We can call it evens for the sending off Walker should have got for attempting to nut Jahanbakhsh in the FA Cup semi.

I was too busy applauding our team, but I did see Graham Potter blowing kisses to the north during the lap of appreciation afterwards. He’s an emotional man despite all his pretence of being calm.

That's not enough. A win from a dodgy penalty next year when VAR is turned off by accident should just about do it.
