Down in my estimation? Nobody really. Some have mentioned Patel but I haven't hear a peep from her and she could hardly go any further (down in my estimation) unless caught on camera stealing from her nan's purse.

Impressed by health care workers who are fighting this disease every day despite seeing how ugly it is and knowing that they could very likely get infected, the people working at care homes, the people cleaning these facilities. The people in general.

Sunak has been the most impressive for me. Very assured in press conferences. Walked into an absolute shitshow and dealt with it well.

For me the press have been appalling. Picked and chosen how they have reported things without any accountability whatsoever. And why are the likes of Kuenssberg and Peston spoken to as if they are some kind of experts in this? They just state the bleeding obvious with solemn looks on their faces and ask stupid questions.

My son said the other day he thinks the press are getting off on this and I think he’s right.

Jeremy Hunt has surprised me - he's extremely well informed and has been an impressive interviewee. I can see why people say Sunak - although it's easy to impress people when you're giving away money. I was also impressed by Maria Caulfield going back to the NHS, closely followed by Rosena Allin-Khan - they didn't have to do that. I note that Liam Fox didn't, probably no money to be made. I think Jon Ashworth has made a good fist of the shadow position, supportive but critical too.



Plenty of useless people: Patel has looked badly out of her depth - how on earth is she a cabinet minister, let alone a senior one? Johnson has been dreadful - but that was expected.

The performance of ITV and BBC reporters has been shockingly bad (and yet Sopel seems pretty good when he's faced with Trump)

Yes, I'd go along with most of this. Hunt, Sunak and, to a lesser extent, Hancock have been the best of the Tories.
Allin-Khan and Ashworth, too have been good for Labour, and it's good to hear more from Ed Miliband again (ridiculed as party leader, but his manifesto was full of good ideas, with his plan for integrating social care into health the most topical).

Which part have you been unimpressed with?

Was it when he was very unwell at Home, but carried on working? Was it when he was in hospital and still working? Were you unimpressed when he was in ICU for 4 days and not bothering to work? Or have you got the right hump with him now for recuperating at Chequers after a week in hospital?

I completely agree, Hunt has been excellent. Seems to have more knowledge of the NHS now, than when he was running it.
I’m really not impressed with the Government, how many times are they allowed to fail or make false promises about, testing, PPE, ventilators, etc ?
Our free( ?) press should be ripping them a new one.
