A long time ago, after a liquid lunch with his brother in London, my Dad arrived home at Brighton station. It was one of the old slam door trains, and he got out of it on the wrong side. He ended up leaning against the live rail. Fortunately, it was switched off at the time.

Reminded me of a cow that caused almost 15,000 minutes of delays at Lewes, due to its sheer size. When the train stopped, it trod on the third rail killing it and slowly cooking it until the power was turned off.
