Off the top of my head, Maupay has missed pens against Leicester twice (league in covid, carabao Cup shoot out this year), missed one against Liverpool and of course his party piece on Saturday.

He should be nowhere near being allowed to take one. That's not after timing, it's blatantly obvious to anyone that's ever watched him take one.

Being taken off penalty duties will be another blow to Maupays confidence even if this right decision.

What I struggled with from him on Saturday is he needs to get back on the scoring habit as do the team yet rather than go with the option of the bottom corners or a lower risk option he went for the top corner. Seemed a rather stupid and high risk option given the recent pressures on himself and the team to score. If Krul saves a lower effort he would get more sympathy that clearing the crossbar and putting the ball into orbit
