Still Somewhere in Sussex!
Oooo the timing of that is bloody harsh!
OK, they're threatened with relegation after a bad run, but **** me, one game from Wembley!! That's a *******!!
The only name that seems to be put around at the moment, with a Premier League pedigree is Carlo Ancelotti, and won the Cup at Chelsea of course!

Pardew should be available soon.

Or maybe they can get the equally liked Adkins back

WBA gets sacked from WBA
Saints appoint Pardew
Saints get in to and stay in the bottom three.
Pardew achieves two relegations in one season........ Perfect.

Only one man for the job.....Le Tissier!

Les Reed is on the coaching staff....

Les Reed is a Director, of which they have only three, and it was he who did the dirty deed tonight.

It's highly likely that the bottom three clubs from the PL will be teams who've changed manager during the season. I'm sure someone has the stats on how often it works, but I bet the majority of times it doesn't.
This season the majority of times it will work as everyone from 9th place down has changed their manager apart from us, Newcastle and Hudds and Bournemouth. Even if all the relegated teams are ones that have changed their manager, more teams will have survived who changed their manager because they were worried about relegation than will be relegated...it obviously works!

I love the sacking of a manager to get a bounce.

I want our Chris sacked NOW, so we make sure of things.

Yeah, I guess so. What I was clumsily trying to say was that even though, say, WBA and Stoke have changed their manager, they are still in grave danger of going down. I think I'm also right in saying that when the two previous managers WERE sacked the clubs either weren't in the relegation zone, or not as low as they are now. I know the likes of Swansea and Palace will (probably) prove it a worthwhile exercise, but there are plenty for whom it does't work.

Hughes or Silva it seems:
http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/saints/16082009.Who_now_for_Saints_/

Silva it is then, as they favour overseas coaches. Unless he turns them down, whilst waiting for Allardyce's sacking.

Silva is totally overrated. Took Hull down last season and lost the plot at Watford. Dunno if he'd want another PL relegation on his CV 2 years running.

Brendan Rodgers name is in the frame apparently. Not a bad shout, he MUST be bored shitless of the monkey-tennis league by now. If he failed to keep Soton up, even the Championship is more prestigeous than the SPL now. How many times can you rock up at Kilmarnock and Motherwell to dish out another thrashing without dying a little bit inside ? If the bloke has any ambition of being a proper manager then this is the sort of job he should jump at.
