It asks about nationality, first option is - English/Scottish/Irish/British

Next is - Welsh

Why so?

Is being Welsh somehow different to originating from the other home countries, and in some way not British?

I just did the same double take. I consider myself more English/Welsh than I do English/Scots/Northern Ireland.

Weird very weird.

Surely the only answer to nationality, if the remoaners get their way and we stay in the EU, is European

Explain? Being an EU citizen does not alter your nationality.

I think the op is referring to the point that some die hard EU supporters (of all nationalities) consider their nationality to be European rather than their actual nationality of (for example) English, Welsh, French, Spanish etc.
