Peanut butter & a slice of ham. Trust me, it works.

Oh & I never put normal butter or spread anywhere near a peanut butter sandwich, utter sacrilege.

Peanut butter on well done wholemeal toast. Almost burnt but not quite.

Butter, peanut butter and marmite for me.

That IS a superb combination. I often have a slice of each (one Marmite, one peanut butter, both with loads of BUTTER obvs) on toast and then flip half of it into a sandwich.

The only decent sandwich using peanut butter goes from the bottom - bread , butter, crunchy peanut butter , cheese , marmite, butter, bread. Brilliant every time.

M&S almond butter is excellent.

Peanut butter and banana sandwiches are excellent (no butter obvs).

Not trying to be an edgelord or anything, but a modest addition of horseradish sauce to a peanut butter sandwich, or indeed to peanut butter on toast, adds a certain piquancy that works wonders. You have the wonderful, almost bland comfort of the (crunchy) peanut butter, with the delicate tang or zest of the horseradish.
I have been promoting this variant for a good 10 years now, and the number of folk who tell me, sometimes years later, that they are a convert is genuinely surprising.

Not just for beef.

Cows are terribly mistreated to produce the milk that ends up in your butter. I like a thick layer of Vitalite before the peanut butter goes on.

Only one way to enjoy a peanut butter sandwich, and that's to take said sandwich and put it in the nearest bin
