Very similar to Weekend Offender if you've got any of that.

Cheap and cheerful, so you can't really complain.

I've seen a few blokes wearing them and they seem to fit quite well and the reviews here back it up: Peaceful Hooligan reviews | Customer reviews of Peaceful Hooligan

Please let us know if you do get any of their clobber, Das as I might be tempted. Got to say though, I'd restrict it to t-shirts as the hoodies and tops look a bit naff. And £50 for a polo? Think I'll stick to Fred Perry. If you're after decent t-shirts at about £30 then Pretty Green have a few nice ones. I've got one I bought a year ago and it still keeps its shape after occasional wearing.

No. Think both brands are very average.

If you're going to get PH, get it off Henry Brummel.

Reckon PH would be a good name for a band! Quite like the t shirt in the photo, but as Das and Buzzer have said, it's quite pricy for what you get.

I'm hoping you might be the man to answer this.

Universal Works - have you got any of their range? I'm looking at a few of their coats. They've got some nice designs, but I could do with some reviews before jumping the gun. Same goes for the brand YMC - got anything?

For what it's worth Peaceful Hooligan looks a bit gash to me.

I haven't got anything by YMC but they do make some lovely coats. I've got a Universal Works Workers Blouson that I bought a couple of years ago and is still good as new: Universal Works | Navy Cotton Knit Worker's Blouson by Universal Works but not a coat. The blouson is really well made and hasn't bobbled at all.

I've got a Heritage Research jacket that is just beautiful but I'm wary of wearing too often as it looks like it could get a bit out of shape and shiny. I've also got a Gabicci Gloverall duffel coat that is just about the warmest coat I've ever worn bar none and my prized possession is an APC parka that I paid top whack for last year and I expect to last a good few years yet A.P.C.MR PORTER

Your best bet is to pop into Peggs and Son and have a chat with Ian who owns the shop and he will give you an absolutely honest appraisal of all those labels - he stocks the lot.

What's the fit like on the UW Blouson? Same as your normal size, or up/down a peg?

Great shout on Heritage Research. Their jackets look VERY sharp. I think I'll pursue them, just about in my price range.

Funnily enough, I spoke to Ian the other day when I was in there (not that I know him). I was trying on some of the new Edwin jeans they've stocked up on. He's a lovely bloke, but christ he is a real salesmen as well! Every time I've tried something on in there he finds a way of slipping in a complement, whether it be about what I'm trying on or something else I'm wearing. He certainly knows how to butter people up - I 'spose that's his job and livelihood, though. And I do feel guilty sometimes trying clothes on in there just to get a feel for the fit, before going home and buying it online for a 2/3's of the price. It's a tactic I've tried with an APC coat in there before, unfortunately they were no cheaper online! They have a really good looking range of stuff. Love that coat.

Agreed I had that too. As soon as I walked in, was talking to another dude, loud enough so I'd hear how nice my Ma.strum jacket was etc. Then proceeded to explain all the different lines of Edwin jeans. But full on really and does make you feel guilty if just having a browse!
