Well I certainly don't abuse people who have a different opinion to me .
Dear oh dear have some Cowpol or something ha ha

You didn't express an opinion though, did you? You made a statement that is factually incorrect. The club has, quite demonstrably, invested a massive amount of money into the playing side. Now, if you express an opinion that that money has not been well spent, then fine; but don't expect to post falsehoods and not get pulled up on it.

I rarely post stuff, generally pop in every day for a little look around NSC and been a Seagulls fan (no other team..) for 36 years with my dear Mother introducing me to the East Stand with a Crate in hand to stand on at the tender age of 6. Ive been through the highs and lows as a lot of us but loved being a Brighton support and passionate about my city and club

Yes we all need to get stuff of our chests now and again about the performances, selections, morale, finances but seriously some of you need to get a ****ing grip!

Cmon we all know the financial constraints we now have, the injuries we've had, how low the club was after Palace 'poyet **** up ' and 'Poo Gate', the Poyet aftermath, 'Bridgate'... and finally a new manager coming in.

The realists amongst us thought mid table would be a good achievement and here we are....8th in the league still in reach of playoffs, just got knocked out of the FA Cup by Prem League opposition (yet last week we thoroughly deserved to win, would of met Sunderland and could of been a semi at Wembley...) played an absolute blinder against inform ex prem team Wigan but one of those games.., 27k crowds, magnificient stadium, amazing Chairman and top notch Chief Ex.... but will still MOAN!!!! Get a grip people!

Pease brothers :) xx

 Give peas a chance

Hereford away, is the game I will always remember, yes it is so bad now ?, what planet is prat baz 68, I assume he is a JCL and only just supporting team in the last few years, as you have not a clue mate. We are in the best position on and off the field then we have ever been in, in my 50 years of supporting the club. 2 bad results do not change what is happening to this Club. We are investing in players, have a new stadium, new training facility, the best CEO in football, yes he is, he got voted by all the other clubs. I am a very happy supporter, if you don't like it then go and support a team that wants people like you, although do t think there are many that would want you to be honest.[/

Brighton fan since the age of 5, so 41 years.
I have been to supporting Albion through thick and thin all my life pal, so I believe I'm entitled to an opinion, the difference between myself and a lot of people on here is I don't hide my identity but still speak my mind.
Others have an opinion besides you, and others like you.
Do you really have to lower yourself to pathetic and childish insults to put a point across.
You I'm afraid my friend sound like the kind of supporter that the club is trying to get rid of and doesn't want.
You shouldn't make too many assumptions about people too quickly.

I apologise for my 'Childish insult'
And fully understand that I am a fan that the club want to get rid off as I fully support the current team and club in its efforts. I also fully understand
That the club wants fans like you who moan and groan about the manager and the CEO and have an opinion. I hope you and the rest of NSC accept my sincere apologies in supporting the club and of course hiding my identity as I am afraid that people will
Now abuse me for my support and of course opinion.

And relax....

I never abuse anyone on here just don't see the point in people becoming abusive because someone's opinion differs from someone else's .
It's a ridiculous thing to do.
I have no problem with you, just like I said you shouldn't make assumptions about people you don't know .
Enough now enjoy the Millwall match and hopefully we will win.

No problems mate, as said you are the sort of fan the clubs wants, not fans like me who has supported team for over 50 years, and did Gillingham for 2 years and seen over 1000 games and in general fully support what they are doing now for the future of this proud community club. No doubt they will do a lot better with great supporters like you who post wonderful opinions about how the club is being run and who never uses awful abuse like the word 'prat'. Goodnight......

"Peace Brothers" is the least likely outcome for a NSC thread.

Appreciate the optimism though.

FWIW I agree with the OP's comment. The moaners are going to moan, they just want us to get to the next level and are frustrated because they think they know why it isn't happening and what needs to be done to get there. When something is a simple as it appears to them to be it can be frustrating when it doesn't happen. Personally I assume that those at the club are doing the best they can under the circumstances and decisions are being made for the good of the club long term. Like choosing to invest in infrastructure instead of playing staff. Lets face it if TB had invested the 100 mil from the stadium in playing staff we would be in the Premier League but still playing at Withdean. I am also please we are looking to secure the clubs long term future by adhering to FFP and doing the right thing financially.

Decisions are made and sometimes we disagree with them but overall the club is moving in the right direction and there have never been a brighter future for us.

If you read NSC regularly, you should know this is no place for reason, balance or maturity. Now please piss off and we will see you again in a few years when we are established n the top division, flirting around Europe and still running around panicking like a bunch of bedwetting schoolgirls

Hahaha that's what I love about this board, the pure unadulterated optimism and the restraint shown against knee jerk reactions ;D

We really do need to have a reality check

A) - last time we stayed in the 2nd flight for 3 consecutive seasons was 88/89 89/90 90/91

and i don't think we will go into the melt-down AGAIN that followed that period

B) - NSC is not the voice of the people as we like to think it is

There are currently 1125 users online - 20% of the ave withdean crowd, or 5% of the ave Amex crowd

Most users ever online was 3,704 - 80% of the ave withdean crowd, or 15% of the ave Amex crowd

Okay so if some of you really think Monday night was poor, nothing and I mean nothing beats returning home from Gillingham after another defeat to some whatshisname outfit that made Crippled Palarse look good and listening to Smelly Mellor and a bunch of whingeing scousers moaning about how badly Liverpool were either playing or run. Happy Days
We only dreamed of such luxury at the arse end of the Football League. We dreamed of beating such likes of Lincoln, or Macclesfield maybe even Orient

Some people NEED a REALITY check - season ticket & match prices going up again to the most expensive in our league and gates of 27K + and some people are HAPPY with a mid table position ? The money is going somewhere and it's not on the playing squad, paying nearly 500k to a CEO is obscene wages.

Too many JCL's on here happy with scraps

Paying that figure for you may be obscene, but if a person saved my business 8+ million (which it seems likely if you believe Barber when he says we will meeting the £8m cap) then that's definitely worth it.

Also, terrifically splendid you dragged out the JCL argument - surely all the 'non' JCL people were used to living with scraps during the Withdean/Priestfield era, does that make them better/lesser fans?
