Taylor is awesome, almost felt sorry for Lewis.

Helen could have a shit weekend when we do Torquay, loverboy Wade (the dick) got stuffed by Whitlock.

Now THAT was a game of darts.

Coincidence that the person organising the sweep stake, gets a person in the final, funny that, eh Trig:wink::jester:

I'd love Taylor to win, but Whitlock's giving him a VERY good game!

I think Taylor will win by two or three sets and people will cream their pants all over again... However, I did have a sneaky tenner on Whitlock at 6s this morning simply because of the sweepstake!... Wish I'd put some each way money on at the start!

Swung back the other way now, 167 an 161 checkouts from taylor is pretty special. Whitlock doesn't look phased though, I can't see him folding like most others have done

Whitlock is looking pretty fantastic tonight, the Power struggled at first but now he's DOMINANT. Brilliant match of darts though, truly magnificent.

Only one winner now, mind.

I'm actually getting pretty bored with Taylor now... Good as he is, it's not good for any sport that the same team/player wins over and over again.

Same here. I can't understand why the crowds go for him so much, as if he needs the extra support to win.

There's only one winner from here but I'd be happy if Whitlock could notch another couple of sets just to stop taylor bullying him until the end.

O/T but surely Whitlock has got to be a shoe-in for a premier league wildcard on this form.

You can't appreciate brilliance, then. This is one of the greatest sporting performances of all time. He went 2-1 down and then turned on the style.

I appreciated it years ago, but when it happens repeatedly it becoms very dull, a bit like the SPL, but then even that has two possible winners each year... I can imagine Taylor being a big draw to people who are new to darts but when you see the same thing every year it does make you yawn just a touch.

Bullshit, I appreciate how good he is and how much work he puts in to be as good as he is, that 170 checkout under that pressure wsa outragous, as was the set where he hit 167 and 161 checkouts, but I've been watching taylor do this for a decade and it's not exciting for me anymore, I want people to beat him.

Watch darts regularly for the next few years and then try and tell me you still want taylor to steamroller everyone.

I can understand that, and I'd guess you feel the same way about Roger Federer in tennis?

Personally, I love both Taylor and Federer. Truly brilliant sportsmen right at the top of their game, so much better than everyone else. Atleast the great man of tennis has rivals now that he's ageing. Taylor is going to dominate darts for however long he wants to.

On the plus side, Whitlock looks like he'll be challenging Taylor and Barney for years to come. And with Wade aswell, there are 4 genuinely brilliant darts players at the top of the game now, in my humble opinion. The rest are good, but those 4 are a class above as far as I'm concerned.
